Here are some DIY beauty products that I make myself and use all the time. Drug store beauty products are filled with toxins and endocrine disrupters that actually undermine the quest for beauty from within. It is so empowering to take your products into your own hands and rest assured that they are good for you and made with love. These generally work really well, smell great and have few cons that I have found. I will continue to add to this list as I try and test more products.

Tea Tree Face Toner
  • 10 drops Melaleuca essential oil (tea tree)
  • 5 drops lavender (and/or frankincense) essential oil
  • 3/4 cup of witch hazel
  • 1/4 cup of water
Mix these ingredients and put them in a glass spray bottle (preferably cobalt or amber), spray onto cotton ball and use all over face before applying night cream.
Raw Sugar Exfoliant
  • 1/2 cup raw organic brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 10 drops rose essential oil
  • 5 drops ylang ylang essential oil
Mix these ingredients in a bowl and use all over body (including face).  Store for up to a month in a cobalt or amber glass jar.
 Rose Day Serum
  • 1 tablespoon rosehip oil (coldpressed, organic)
  • 1 tablespoon jojoba oil (coldpressed, organic)
  • 1 teaspoon carrot seed oil (organic)
  • 15 drops rose essential oil
Mix these ingredients and put them in a cobalt or amber glass dropper bottle. Apply to skin all over face every morning. Rose oil is incredibly high frequency.
Anti-Aging Night Serum
  • 1 tablespoon rosehip oil (coldpressed, organic)
  • 1 tablespoon jojoba oil (coldpressed, organic)
  • 1 teaspoon carrot seed oil (organic)
  • 10 drops rose essential oil
  • 4 drops geranium essential oil
  • 4 drops ylang ylang essential oil
Mix these ingredients and put them in a glass spray bottle (preferably cobalt or amber), spray onto cotton ball and use all over face before applying night cream.
Acne Spot Treatment
  • 1 drop Melaleuca essential oil (tea tree)
Apply to the problem area. If skin is dry, dilute the drop of tea tree essential oil in a small amount of coconut oil.
Turmeric Face Mask
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons turmeric
  • splash of water
Mix these ingredients in a small dish so that they form a thin and watery paste. Apply with brush all over face and neck, avoiding eyebrows and moustache/beard for men (this can make facial hair fall out) and allow to dry on your face, wash with a wash cloth and warm water. This may leave your skin yellow for a little while after the application, but it will brighten your complexion and reduce inflammation.
Raspberry Lip and Cheek Stain
  • 1/4 cup of freeze dried raspberries
Pulverize the freeze dried raspberries in a spice grinder until they form a very fine powder. When you want to use, mix small amount of powder with water and apply to lips and cheeks. This can be grainy if raspberries are not ground fine enough.
Body Lotion
  • Hand full of coconut oil
Rub it all over your body! Especially good for preventing stretch marks in pregnancy
Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment
  • Hand full of coconut oil
After shampooing, rub coconut oil into your hair, especially focusing on the ends. Get out of the shower and leave it in your hair for at least an hour. Hair may be oily after treatment, if so, just wash your hair again and condition normally.
