So a Blessing Way is a Navaho ceremony that supports the mama during pregnancy and impending labor.
Mystic Mama gives a great description here. For Milo, I didn't have a blessing way, so for Maisy, I really wanted one. I was extremely sick with morning sickness during most of my pregnancy, so I only managed to get a small group of goddesses together for the Blessing Way. I outlined it before I did the ceremony so I would stay on topic. My main objective was to get the collective good juju of my goddess group onto a plate of stones and crystals that I would have with me for the birth. What I learned from this whole situation is that it's probably better to have someone else lead the ceremony. Also, I wish I would have incorporated flower crowns. The description from Mystic Mama is probably a better and more traditional outline than mine was, but I still wanted to post this.
