Ok so this is a long story, but I am going to try to get it all down....

So last week I gave you this blog entry about Scientology, The day after that I headed to the Pasadena area of Los Angeles to visit my mom and my friend. This is a part of L.A. that I did not grow up in, but have gotten to know over the last decade since my mom has moved there with my stepdad who works at NASA's JPL or Jet Propulsion Laboratory (yep, he's a rocket scientist). I have been to JPL myself many times, and have been all around Pasadena with my mom. My mother has always mentioned feeling 6th sense stirrings when she looks at the old craftsman houses of historic Pasadena, maybe because my great grandmother had lived there in the early 1900's or why else, she didn't know. I will also mention here that my mother's home is on a hill overlooking JPL, and I have, for many years, felt a negative alien presence when I look at JPL beckoning me to fall down the hill toward it. I also hear these noises like somebody walking on the roof in the upstairs rooms in my mom's house, and nobody really acknowledges these sounds but me, and I have often wondered if they are a multidimensional phenomenon. I do not sleep a wink in my mother and stepfather's house, and I lay awake all night hearing footsteps on the roof, it's weird.

Last Thursday, I had a very busy day that involved visiting my mother and going to Glendale to return something, and then going to visit my friend in Highland Park. This route took me on a zigzag path crisscrossing the foothill regions near Pasadena, northeast of downtown Los Angeles. As I drove on the 134 ending in Pasadena, I felt very weird psychic stirrings. Seeing a few old bridges sparked these stirrings. Some kind of message or information was trying to break through into my intuition, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was exactly. I could feel it was an energy connected to Pasadena. When I tuned in, I felt the year to be in the 1940s or so, and feelings of freedom, but that was all. I was already late, so I had to keep going, but I knew it was something.

The next day, I happened to feel like doing more research on Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard's life, just out of curiosity. So I goggled him, and clicked on his Wikipedia page...and then my jaw dropped when I saw one of the Wikipedia sections on his life was entitled "Occult Involvement in Pasadena". This made the hair on my neck stand up. I knew that this was not a coincidence. Not only that, but the story involved a rocket engineer named Jack Parsons who had founded JPL!?! According to Wikipedia, "in August 1945 Hubbard moved into the Pasadena mansion of John "Jack" Whiteside Parsons. The leading rocket propulsion researcher at the California Institute of Technology and the founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)... Parsons lead a double life as an avid occultist and Themelite, which is a follower of the English ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley."

Now, I know all about Aleister Crowley. To me, he is the ultimate creepy, horrible, yucky, black magician archetype embodied. I hate to even mention him on my blog because he is that bad, but he is important in the story, just to show how truly evil the philosophies and rituals that Hubbard and Parsons were summoning. My own research into Aleister Crowley over many years has shown me that he is known for dark esoteric knowledge, blood ritual, black magick sex rituals, calling up dark multidimensional entities, calling up entities that feed on blood sacrifice, an advisor to BOTH Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler during WWII (both occultists), and that Aleister Crowley saw the wartime bloodletting of WWII as a blood ritual sacrifice to his very dark gods.

In Pasadena, Jack Parsons was and a leader of Crowley's lodge there, a section of the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) which was a secret society belonging to Crowley. In a letter written by Jack Parsons about L. Ron Hubbard to Aleister Crowley quoted on Wikipedia, Parsons writes, "Hubbard is a gentleman. He has red hair, green eyes, is honest and intelligent and we have become great friends...[Hubbard] is the most Thelemic person I've ever met and is in complete accord with our own principles." It is also written on Wikipedia that at the OTO lodge is Pasadena, there were animals on site that they sacrificed in blood ritual. Blood ritual sacrifice summons up a very dark and demonic energies that feed upon the life force of the living. It seems to me that this is the time when L. Ron Hubbard really began to cross over into dark territory.

Wikipedia also describes how Jack Parsons and L Ron Hubbard did a Thelemic sex magick ritual intended to summon an incarnation of Babylon, the supreme dark goddess of their esoteric tradition. The story of this, according again to Wikipedia, "The ritual was undertaken are over several nights in February and March 1946 in order to summon an elemental who would participate in further sex magick." The next day, a woman appeared by the name of Marjorie Cameron who went on to marry Jack Parsons and become a dark esoteric artist. I have included on of her works below. Jack Parsons was killed in a suspicious explosion in his own house in 1952. And of course, L. Ron Hubbard went on to found Scientology.

The thing that freaks me out the most about this whole story is my own personal connections with Pasadena and JPL, along with my own intuitive stirrings as I drove through Pasadena last Thursday, the day after I wrote my original Scientology blog post, and feeling a connection to old bridges in Pasadena...so I will continue to research more, and I will let you know if I find anything else.

My friend shared this with me and I found it interesting. I wrote a science fiction novel, and I incorporated all these Pasadena legends and myths. It's called Tunnel 16, available from Kindle or from the Store at www.SchoolofSelf-Reliance.com for a few dollars. Thanks for sharing!
